Paving of Front Gardens
If you are considering replacing your front garden with 'block paving', then there are some regulations you should be aware of.
It is permissible to replace a front garden or driveway of any size if you use permeable (or porous) surfacing, such as gravel, permeable concrete block paving or porous asphalt.
The use of other replacement materials may need planning permission.
Regulations were brought into place following the serious flooding that occurred in 2007, which affected many Covingham residents.
If you are considering replacing a traditional front garden, please read the regulations: Guidance on the permeable surfacing of front gardens
